Fan Review:

By GMAC

I am proud to say I was at this show with a few of my friends. Waiting in line in the late afternoon to get as close to the stage as possible. (General Admission back then). I still have part of the ticket stub. Cost of ticket = $8.00.
Unfortunately once we entered the auditorium/gymnasium we found out that the students at Stony Brook University had reserved seating so we were only able to sit in the bleacher section. I was only a 17 year old kid back then but this is what I remember from the show: - Bono apologizing to the crowd because his voice was kind of hoarse that night and he couldn't hit the high notes. (e.g. New Year's Day and Two Hearts Beat As One).
- I was also amazed at how The Edge was able to play piano and switch right to the guitar solo when they played New Year's Day.
- I remember Bono thanking the warm-up group during the show. I believe the name of the group was called Someone and the Somebodies.
