Remarks:

U2 plays the first of two consecutive shows opening for Patrick Fitzgerald. The exact dates of the two shows are unknown, but they’re known to have been in September, 1979. At tonight’s show, U2 tangles with a group of local punks who threaten to storm the stage. The punks are evicted, with Paul McGuinness dragging one out of the premises by the hair.
