Fan Review:
By Michael Trei
I must admit that my memory is pretty hazy after all these decades, but a group of us drove over from Syracuse for this show. This was my second U2 show, having also been at their US debut at The Ritz in NYC back in December 1980.
The crowd was actually pretty good, and I would guess around 500 people attended.
After the show, my friends and I went poking around town looking for the band, and tracked Bono and Larry down in the bar at the local Holiday Inn. I had brought my copies of War and Boy (UK press) which both of them signed. Bono signed my War lp with the inscription "It's a helliday at the Holiday Inn '83". Then a couple of us went and sat in the car while a couple of the others went looking for Edge and Adam, lucky them, they tracked them down and ended up with a full set of signatures.
Still, all in all a very memorable night, and I still have the signed lps to prove it all.
